Visual Impact Muscle Building Review
Visual Impact Muscle Building has rapidly become one of the most popular eBook workout programs today. One of the reasons this program has taken off so quickly is because the author, Rusty Moore, runs the high-traffic blog, Fitness Black Book. His blog and Visual Impact Muscle Building have been designed to help you achieve what he calls the “lean Hollywood look.” Rusty believes that most “men would rather look like Daniel Craig or Ryan Reynolds than bench 350 pounds.” If this sounds like you, then keep reading this review to get the in-depth details of what Rusty has in store for those who purchase Visual Impact Muscle Building.
Visual Impact Muscle Building Review: Who Does the Program Target?
Visual Impact Muscle Building is designed for men who want to develop a lean, visually stunning body. This is in contrast to programs designed to help you build massive amounts of muscle mass. This program is not for people who want to add 100 pounds to their bench or 150 pounds to their squat. This program will not help you develop the physique of a pro wrestler.
Visual Impact Muscle Building Review: What Does the Product Include?
Visual Impact Muscle Building is a 100% e-product. As soon as you complete your purchase you be sent to the download page where you will get instant access to the following documents.
The Visual Impact Muscle Building main course eBook (75 pages)
This eBook is broken up into fifteen chapters. This is where Rusty lays out the philosophy behind Visual Impact Muscle Building and teaches you how to use this program to develop a visually stunning body. One of the reason’s Rusty’s blog is so popular is because he has a knack for taking seemingly complex ideas and breaking them down into easy to understand concepts. He applies this same skill to Visual Impact Muscle Building. His course explains the two main types of muscle growth, how to use high volume training for quick muscle growth, how adjusting your sets and repetitions affect your muscle development, how to eat to gain muscle while maintaining a lean body, and the concepts behind each phase of his muscle building program. All of it is explain in a way that easy to digest and understand.
A comprehensive exercise demonstrations eBook (227 pages)
The exercise demonstrations eBook was developed in partnership with Mike Westerdal of CriticalBench.com, which is hands down the best exercise demonstrations eBook I have seen. It clearly explains how to execute each exercise and has clear photographs illustrating perfect form, but the best part is that the PDF document is filled with easy-to-use hyperlinks that make it a breeze to jump back and forth between the table of contents and the exercises you want to see. Lots of other programs provide an exercise demonstrations eBook, but none of them have made it this easy to use.
Printable Workout Routines (6 pages)
These are NOT intended to be used as a workout journal. You will need to still develop and/or maintain your own workout journal. These printable workout routines simply provide the workout details for each phase of the Visual Impact Muscle Building program. Rusty developed these printable workout routines as a cheat sheet you could take with you to the gym to help you remember the order and structure of each workout.
Additional Benefits and Bonuses
Once you have purchased Visual Impact Muscle Building you are entitled to free lifetime updates should Rusty decide to update his product. In addition you will also receive Visual Impact Special Reports through email. These emails are spread out over time so that you can first read through and begin using the main course. As of the date this review was published, there have been eight Visual Impact Special Reports. These special reports provide a variety of different tips ranging from how to use Olympic lifts to help improve your muscle gains, how to use cardio to maximize fat loss, and he even provides style tips on how to dress to impress. Rusty intends to continuously send out new special reports whenever he discovers something new that will help you improve your results with Visual Impact Muscle Building.
Visual Impact Muscle Building Review: Workout Program Overview
The Visual Impact Muscle Building workout program is divided into three main phases. Rusty also provides a bonus phase to be used a few weeks before any event where you really want to impress (e.g., a photo shoot, weekend at the beach). Each phase is designed to implemented for about two months, though Rusty does teach you how to tweak the program based on your goals and your current body composition. Here is a look at each phase in detail.
Phase I: Sarcoplasmic Hypertrophy
Phase I of the program is focused on building the size of your muscles. Rusty’s workout routine for this phase utilizes a three day split that groups upper body pushing muscles on day one, legs and abs on day two, and upper body pulling muscles on day three. He uses high volume and short rest periods to achieve maximum cumulative fatigue of each targeted muscle.
This phase will not result in the lifting of heavy weights as it requires three to five sets of high repetitions for each exercise. You will be extremely sore after each workout and though you should not expect to send significant gains in strength you should see muscle growth by the end of this phase.
Phase II: Increase Muscle and Density
The second phase of Visual Impact Muscle Building shifts focus a bit more towards developing strength gains while still inducing sarcoplasmic hypertrophy. This is done by moving to a two day split and reducing the number of repetitions and sets for each exercise while still keeping rest times short in order to fatigue the muscle.
This phase finally allows you to lift some heavier weights, but the short rest periods will make it difficult to increase weight rapidly. Rusty also expects you to keep your calories in check while going through this phase as he wants you to be getting lean at the same time as you build muscle.
Phase III: Maximum Density and Definition
This phase will focus on pure strength gains in order to help you develop hard and dense muscles, what Rusty calls “true muscle tone.” He maintains a two day split but drops leg work completely. He is comfortable dropping leg work because he will call for quite a bit more cardio exercise during this phase which will keep your legs looking good. At the same time Rusty will have you implementing calorie restriction and you will kick it in high gear with high intensity interval training workouts to help you maximize fat loss.
In this section of the eBook, Rusty spends a good amount of time discussing diet so that you understand the best way to lose fat fast without losing the hard earned muscle mass you have been developing for the last four months.
Bonus Phase: Shrink Wrap Your Muscles
The bonus phase of Visual Impact Muscle Building is actually a technique that Rusty learned which will make your skin look as if it is “shrink wrapped’ around your muscles. This effect can only be achieved after getting super lean during phase III. The technique basically has you maintain your phase III diet restriction while you go back to the sarcoplasmic hypertrophy training used in phase I, but with some added supplementation that helps your muscles grow more quickly than your skin can adjust, resulting in the shrink wrap effect.
Visual Impact Muscle Building Review: Strengths
There are many strengths of this program. It is a well researched and well thought out program that is easy to read and to understand. Rusty not only provides a six-month program with various phases that can be repeated as often as necessary, but he also teaches you the philosophy behind each phase so that you are empowered to take control of your physique. Once you understand the principles behind this workout program and experience the transformation process you will be able to alter this program to meet your exact needs; which, by the way, Rusty encourages.
This is one of our favorite programs and we often return to this program when we need a break from trying out other programs that just don’t work as well. You can read more about our experience with this program here: J’s Current Workout.
Visual Impact Muscle Building Review: Weaknesses
The biggest weakness of the Visual Impact Muscle Building program is that it does require a serious time commitment. It is very difficult to complete many of these workouts in under an hour, especially with regards to phase I. You will want to make sure you have a wrist watch that has a chronograph so that you can strictly adhere to the designated rest periods. This will help make the workouts as efficient as possible.
